The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its course in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also packed with features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.
The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause abrasions.
